Fantastic little Swedish inspired cafe with a nice relaxed St Kilda vibe and friendly service. The coffee is consistently perfect and a nice selection of quick delicious meals that always hit the spot.

Finding something different and unique in a “brunch is the new dinner” city like Melbourne can be extremely difficult. Especially since every cafe is pumping out Instagram-worthy meals. The owners of Nord, a couple who spent several years in Stockholm, returned to Australia and opened up a small cafe providing Chapel Street with a bite of Sweden.

I live in St. Kilda and have tried every cafe in the area. I like Nord Cafe the best. It has a great vibe unlike some other cafes it is never uncomfortably noisy. I often stop here on my way to work and I love the coffee. The homemade food really sets Nord apart! Everything is fresh and delicious. I also like Nord Cafe's friendly and unpretentious service. I feel at home here.

Nord is a cute little Nordic cafe on the Balaclava side of Chapel Street. It's conveniently close to trams and lucky for me, one of the places I do some work. The space is tiny but had a few outdoor seats and a couple of tables inside. Coffee is good and the simple food menu is good for a lunch on the run. There are some interesting and tasty Nordic things to nibble on like chocolate balls and a lingonberry cordial syrup. Cute place and worth checking out.
