Bidrage med feedbackI have visited this place in the past and enjoyed it. Not sure what 's happened! Stopped by yesterday at lunchtime and was greeted with an unpleasant smell. The place was empty except for one diner. A young man came from the back area to take my order. He was polite, but looked like he 'd rather be anywhere on earth than there, and the cook ? in the back who I saw from the cash register area had a long beard that wasn 't covered and didn 't look super clean. He also looked like he 'd rather not be there. I ordered the chicken plate and paid for it before I saw the guy in the back. In addition to the chicken plate, I ordered a pita. The smell in the building was starting to bother me weak stomach, unfortunately; yes, I 'm a wimp when it comes to smells , so when the meal came out in a covered container, I took it and left. I realized when I got in my car that the pita I paid for wasn 't in the package I received. At home, I took a good look at the food in the container and it just didn 't look fresh or appealing in any way. I tossed it. Felt bad about wasting it, but didn 't want to chance it. Also felt bad about wasting $15. Maybe I just went on a bad day? Or new owners have just begun and haven 't figured things out yet? Sad situation either way. Hope this restaurant makes some good changes and survives.
ALWAYS absolutely delicious and amazing staff!! I love coming here when I want something refreshing but filling. Chicken Gyro Plate with extra pita is my go-to. I could eat here for the rest of my life, happily!
It is sad how quickly the quality of Gyro Paradise has gone downhill since Shuk sold it. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants fresh, delicious food. Since it was sold to new owners, it has gone downhill the few times I have been in. I went in today for the last time shortly after they opened for the day. First off, the place smelled awful. It was also FILTHY. You could tell the floors hadn’t been cleaned from the day before, and the area where all the food is served from was disgusting dried food crusted around containers, dirty surfaces, dirty plates. No way had it gotten like that in the 45+ minutes since they had opened, especially since the place was deserted. They were out of multiple items, including hummus!!! How are you starting the weekend without one of your staple items? I ordered my usual the falafel plate. The falafel isn’t the same. It’s half the size it used to be, a different recipe, and was hard and burnt tasting. They gave half the serving of rice they used to, and when I asked for more, they tried to charge extra for it. Since they were out of hummus, I asked for tahini sauce it took the girl forever to squeeze it out of the tube and it looked like dried worms on my plate. I didn’t even bother trying it. By the time I finally sat down with my food, it was cold, the falafel tasted awful, and I could only bring myself to eat about half of it. We had people behind us after we got there who ended up leaving because it took so long to get our food. Only one couple came in while we were there and I could hear them complaining about the smell and food as well. I’m so disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants isn’t an option anymore. I know Shuk would be so disappointed at what it’s become.
Casual counter service with dine in option. Many choices and add ins available. Gyros with choices of meats, veggies, sauces, cheese. Also rice, shawarma and salads. Baklava ranks as one of our top 3! Very friendly staff helpful with ordering explanations. Worth looking for in a side road strip mall! Our second visit and wish they weren't four hours from home.
Would give zero if I could. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a satisfying meal. Firstly, the service was too slow. The staff seemed completely disinterested in doing the work. They were slow, inattentive, and seemed annoyed by our presence. It took an eternity to get our orders taken, and even longer for the food to arrive. Just order a gyro with hummus but it still took around 30 mins. There was rush ahead of me but not enough staff to work. There is not enough staff to work. The gyro I ordered was dry and tasteless. It lacked the flavorful seasoning that is characteristic of Mediterranean cuisine. The meat was overcooked and tough, making it difficult to chew. The pita bread was stale and seemed like it had been sitting out for far too long. The accompanying tzatziki sauce was watery and lacked any hint of garlic or cucumber and it was having too much of mint flavor. It was a major disappointment. The overall cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant was very bad. The tables were sticky, and the floors appeared dirty and I can feel stickiness of the floor. There were flies all over my face when I'm trying to order the food. I could see the flies sitting on the food too. There was only one staff who is working both the front and back and is doing it very slow. In summary, my visit to Gyro Paradise-Mediterranean Grill was nothing short of a disaster. The lackluster ambiance, poor service, subpar food quality, and questionable cleanliness all contributed to a deeply unsatisfying experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to think twice and explore other options that offer a better dining experience.
