Pasta Plus Cafe - St. John's

Having never heard of pasta plus cafe, I went slightly skeptical of a restaurant that was in the basement of a mall.

Had a lovely pasta dinner at this hidden gem! Ample food, VERY tasty. Service was brilliant. Lovely young woman who took care of us, even made sure we had cutlery for our leftovers! First time ever - anywhere - a chef substituted another vegetable to accommodate my no-peppers dietary restriction. The desserts looked great, too, but there was no room left.

This place has slowly been on the decline for the last couple of years. The "pulled pork" was just added ground beef. The portions have gotten remarkably smaller as well. I can't say I would return again.

I always enjoy dining at Pasta Plus. Delicious food and good service. I have had the cod cakes many times, and they’re hands down one of my favourite dishes! Love the ambiance too.

We had been looking for a place with gluten free pasta and we found it here. Many of their dishes could be made gluten friendly which was exactly what we had been looking for. The prices were reasonable and the portions were large. We ordered one pasta dish for our three young kids to split and one for my husband and I to split which was more than enough. It's a bit out of the way if you are staying downtown but I recommend it for the gluten friendly options for sure. Service was good too.
