Bidrage med feedbackYou will have better pizza in your life. You will have worse pizza in your life. This isn't the best pizza you will ever have. It's not even the best in the city. The best in the neighbourhood? Sure. Toppings were of good quality but lacking HARD in quantity. The taste of the dough does not improve as it cools. Pizza is very thin - not a bad thing - and didn't get soggy. Service was fairly fast, really friendly. The restaurant was clean but empty and the music was rather loud. Overall, this is a solid 5/10.
I love Olio Pizza, and not just because their custom pizzas a delicious, but because the staff are great and this business is pumping a bunch of positive energy into the community. Pop by for a slice!!
I wasn't too sure trying the new place without first hearing a lot of feedback. But I have to say this place was worth the chance. I ordered online and picked up in store. The website was very easy to navigate and place an order. You can prepay with credit or even PayPal at that time or just choose to pay in store. I believe they have since changed their website to something better than the original one. The place was really bright and welcoming. A half dozen or so tables. Everything is really clean looking. Staff were very friendly. The pizza was top notch! Great fresh toppings. My wife and I ordered 2 different pizzas but I think since then the menu has been tweaked and I don't see the 2 we ordered there any longer. Either way the crust is great, flavors are fantastic and the prices were comparable to other local pizza places.I recommend this place for sure. Skip the chain pizza places and head here for great tasting pizza.
Olio had only been open a few weeks when it quickly became our family's new neighbourhood pizza joint...and we are very fussy when it comes to pizza. We've sampled pizza in numerous provinces and in practically every state in the eastern half of the US and this is among the best we've found anywhere. For us, a thin crispy crust is a must and their crust is near perfection. The dough has just the right flavour and a perfect chewy texture too, after the initial crisp bite. It's the pizza crust many places attempt but do not achieve. It very much reminds me of New York City pizza, where the foldable slices have great structure. Definitely the best crust in the city. The topping choices are numerous and high quality. This is not a pizza to crowd with cheap toppings, if you're looking for that, look elsewhere. This is a different flavour experience with every bite and that's exactly how we like it. I particularly like that the pepperoni and sausage come in small bite sized chunks and not thin slices. You really can taste the quality and individual flavour of their ingredients this way. There are custom created pizza combinations available but we like to build our own, especially with one vegetarian in the family. Olio is built on a create-your-own philosophy and they make that easy with different, sauce, crust, topping and even garnish choices. We have tried all the sauce bases, tomato, garlic cream, pesto and BBQ sauces and they are all excellent.Yes they do have gluten free crust available too.The prices here are excellent too. A family sized large pizza is arguably the best pizza value in the city, especially given for the quality of the product. With local Quidi Vidi beer available, super friendly staff, quick service and a bright, very clean seating area this place should be your pizza and beer Mecca! We certainly hope these guys will be around for a long time to come. They certainly deserve to be .
We have been to Olio for the second time and we absolutely adore it! My husband ordered the chicken pesto and I had the Jessica.
