Mary Brown's Diner - St. John's

Extremely tasty and friendly. Love this place. You have to try the taters, dressing and gravy. Think Mary Browns but even better....excellent chicken.

After growing up in Newfoundland and eating Mary Browns regularly, I was happy to have it back on a recent home visit, in fact it was our first stop off the plane. Nothing against these Mary Brown's above all, it's really great with a big menu, but Mary Brown's generally changes her chicken batters. It is no longer cooked in peanut oil and tastes air fried. I mean, what's the point of visiting Mary Browns. I loved it as I remembered. The perpetrators and engraving still taste good, but their chicken batter was a bit down. And it's not cheap, it cost us almost $40 for 2 people
