After feeling like we've been stuck in a tourist trap in Niagara Falls & a dismal service experience in Niagara on the Lake, we found Oasis Lakeside Pita on our way to Toronto. The hummus was delicious & generous. The falafel pitas were out of this world. It's not a thick pita bread, but more like a homemade Middle Eastern flatbread. The pitas were huge. The couple running the store were friendly and kind as well. It was a gorgeous day to sit on the patio and enjoy the view.
Take out wraps were just ok. Inside needs updating , presently its looks worn out and in need of TLC. Seems like a ma and pa business. Not much competition in this area. Would like to see a re jig of the place to offer a couple of inside tables when the weather is to cold to side outside.
Every summer we go here 3-4 times to get away from the office and to enjoy some sunshine. The falafels and the chicken donairs are excellent and the owners are wonderful people.
These guys are so cute. The place feels family-run. We stop by for eats most times we're in Port Dalhousie. The pitas are wonderful, the ice-cream is tasty, the fries are GREAT, and they really want to serve you. We dropped by once as they were just opening. Fryers weren't on, nothing was on. "Come in anyway! We'll make you a sandwich!" Great place.
