Niger Reef Tea House - St. Catharines

Sitting on the deck is nice, but the food was just okay.

Been coming here for years.The lunches are tasty and flavourful. My favorite is the potato tart, a unique dish of the chef.Dinners are lovely and the Sunday prime rib dinner is a must have.The tea house overlooks the bay and the Blockhouse park and has a very nice quiet nature atmosphere even though you are in the middle of town.Parking: Small parking lot but the Blockhouse parking lot is close byWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible inside and on the patio.

Had a delightful and memorable evening here. We sat on the porch to watch the sunset and enjoyed fish cakes, salad, chowder, grilled lobster sandwich and carrot cake. Everything was nicely presented and very very flavourful.The service was great too, including the offer of cozy blankets as the sun set and temperatures dropped.Would totally do this again.

Beautiful view from this location. Good food and nicely prepared. Reservations are helpful. I’d go back. It’s a little tricky to find but if you ask for the Fort you will see the restaurant.
