Asian Buffet - St. Catharines

I almost dined at Mandarin in Hamilton about a month ago, but the wait was too long so we chose to eat elsewhere.

We were surprised to see that the restaurant was only half full with customers enjoying lunch on a Wednesday.

This review is for a weekend lunch buffet. It was Labor Day and we were out at the falls.

The price intrigued me, as it said 4.99 a pound of whatever you'd like for takeout. The moment i stepped in, the owner looked almost puzzled to see me without a proper greeting... so immediately I asked, hey .. is there any food i can...More

Two friends and I decided to try out one-week old Asian Buffet on St. Paul Street, St. Catharines. For $8.99 all-you-can-eat lunch OR dinner up to 7 pm, the 15 items plus 2 soups looked a decent deal. Children under 12 and Seniors 30% off. Take-out - fill a container for $4.99 a lb. (After 7 pm, order from a menu of dishes and beverages.)We were pleased to note that the buffet dishes were refreshed often and the service was attentive. Complimentary bubble tea was offered with the meal, other beverages cost extra.While the buffet had regular chinese fare, the favorites were crispy chicken, shrimp and veggies, beef and veggies, pork roast, lo mein and a tasty custard in phyllo cup.They will offer a free meal on your Birthday !Try 'em, you'll like 'em :)
