Lina Linguini's Pasta Grill

My partner and I ordered takeout from this restaurant for dinner. We got the chicken sausage rigatoni and penne Napolitana. The portions were large, especially the rigatoni. The food was delicious and flavorful. We were traveling to a hotel and tried calling ahead, but couldn't reach anyone, so we had to stop by in person to place our order. The wait staff was very friendly and our pastas were ready quickly. Overall, a great experience.

I checked the other comments to see if there were comments agreeing with my opinion (taste buds can be off sometimes). Someone else said exactly what I thought. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with mushrooms (Traditional). It was definitely lacking Italian flavor and I said to hubby that it tasted like someone poured tomato sauce from the jar and added mushrooms and meatballs. Even the meatballs lacked flavor. They were moist, but flavourless. The Caesar Salad was mostly hearts. I prefer the deep green leaves. The bread (made by Cobbs heated at restaurant) was tough and had a hard area that was not possible to chew. Homemade was the description and while that may be so, it really lacked in flavor. Hubby had gluten free chicken pizza and was impressed with it. He gave it a 9/10. Server was great and restaurant clean but if we had a competition, my spaghetti and meatballs would win.

Our server was amazing, she was attentive and quick, very friendly and sweet to our 4 year old daughter. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, very inviting and enjoyable. The food needs some help though. The sauce doesn’t taste like a real Italian sauce, it tastes like it’s from a jar. The pizza tasted and looked like it was a frozen pizza you would buy at Walmart. The Alfredo was very bland and tasted more like milk than cream or butter. If an overhaul was done on the food this restaurant would be 5 star.

Experience did not live up to the reviews….food was okay. Atmosphere was cute … although a little well worn, service was decent. Not terrible but not outstanding. Three of us had chicken and pasta dishes, chicken wasn’t burnt but definitely over cooked, same with the pasta and tomato sauce had a commercial flavour to it. Kids’ pizza was tasty. A good spot for kids and families.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and I am already looking forward to returning to try more! The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect, from the decor and music to our server, Mich, who was incredibly entertaining. I would even return just to have her as our server again. The food was great, the salads were delicious (both the house and Caesar), and the pasta was fantastic. I arrived later in the evening so it wasn't too busy, which was nice. The portions were generous, and before I knew it, I had finished everything and had no room for dessert. This just gives me a good reason to come back. Overall, I had a wonderful time! Thank you!
