I've been to Stanhope Eatery and Bar for dinner a couple of times. The restaurant always has a lively atmosphere and good service. In terms of food, I've tried some of their starters, including Onion Rings, Crispy Cauliflower, Salt and Pepper Wings, and Calamari. All are pretty good. In terms of entree, the Rack of Lamb stands out the most as it's tender, has good flavour, nice accompaniments, and quite a good value for the price...so I'd give my experiences and the lamb 8.8/10

Overall, not a bad place to eat, but I probably wouldn’t come back. I’ve been there twice. The first time when I ordered a burger, I asked the server if it came with mayo, and they said no, when I received the burger it had mayo. Second time I ordered a burger everything was correct, but it was incredibly messy when eating it.

I have been here a handfull of times this summer, Used to go with My dog for brunch after a long walk, the food was AMAZING and they treat us very nicely, they would bring water for the dog and some food in the dog dish too which was amazing, its a shame tho, last time I was there they told me its the last day and they are closing down the place (after renovation a new owner is taking over, it will be intersting to see what happens) Meal type: Brunch

Really should update your hours so people don’t have to come to the restaurant to see that it’s being renovated
