Bidrage med feedbackI didn't eat a meal here but I did stop for takeout sausages and pepperoni. We ate the pepperoni before we reached home. It was probably the best pepperoni that I've ever tasted. Definitely not dry. The sausages were barbequed later and they too were excellent. I hope to stop by for a dine in meal soon as this place looks very promising. It is small and very casual. Prices looked to be reasonable but I'll reserve my thoughts on that until I have a full meal here.
Brat on a Plate Classic Bratwurst and German Potato/Soup, Spicy Hungarian and Marinated Tomato/Soup<br/ <br/ There’s been a surge of German spots opening up in Edmonton and that’s good news. Salz (great name btw) simply serves up good bratwurst. You can have it in a bunand on a plate and chose to eat these brats on a plate. Classic Bratwurst was made with pine haven pork, garlic and black pepper. While the Spicy hungarian had pine haven pork, beef, hot paprika, and marjoram. I’ve never had marjoram and googled it and it’s a herb that has sweet pine and citrus flavors. You’re welcome for the knowledge. Both of these bratwursts were big and flavorful. Preferred the hungarian over the peppery classic brat. Just seemed to carry more flavor. The sides here were solid as well. The potato was dense and delicious while the tomato was fresh as hell and perfectly marinated. Soup of the day was italian wedding and was just ok. It was served in a paper cup and just felt a bit cheap for a 15 dollar meal. I had a cookie also, it wasn’t great, would definitely skip it next time. Salz also offers a Beef Goulash and a Currywurst that sounds pretty dope and will probably try it out the next time I come through. <br/ <br/ Located near Oliver on 115st, this is a small spot to go for a beer and a salty brat. It’s a simple food done really well and deserves a try. Don’t think it’s a good spot for a large group but worth a shot. If you like it enough you could buy a hat and say you’re friend’s with me. Cause it has an S on the hat. Duh.<br/ <br/ Sal says: Just Try It (3.5/5)<br/ <br/ @ncd.23 says: Seemed ok.
This place is amazing. Great simple food for all. Lots of menu choices for all tastes. Bratwurst was excellent well spiced and cooked to perfection. A few potato chips on the side along with a pickle. Nice atmosphere with great service what more could one ask for. Oh and great Alberta craft beers. Will definitely go back and bring others to this taste experience.
Great authentic sausages in a relaxed atmosphere! This is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order first and wait for your order! Also a great place to watch the game! Love the complimentary popcorn on the tables!
Love the German food and beer selection. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a treat to bring someone who has never had German cusisne and share that experience with them.
