Ridgewood Cafe - Springfield

The employees were friendly, and I enjoyed the diverse wine options available.

We joined our cousins at the Ridgewood, which they chose by location, but mostly by the fabulous reviews. We were lucky enough to have Sara as our waitress. She made wonderful recommendations and was very attentive! The food was terrific!! We especially enjoyed the Walleye and the New York strip. It's a cozy atmosphere as well! We hope to be back again soon and plan to bring the family to join us!!!

Excellent experience front to back, from the service to the food, everything was on point. I'd been wanting to try this place out for a while and I wasn't disappointed. I made sure to go during an off peak time so the service wouldn't be rushed and I'm glad I did. My wife and I walked in the door and found a nice cozy booth in the corner. It only took about a minute for our serve to show up, which is always a good sign. I ordered my favorite drink and was ecstatic to hear they carried my favorite single malt scotch. We forewent the house specials both ordered steaks, my wife the ribeye and the NY strip for myself and they were done at the right temperature the FIRST TIME! Yes, this is a big deal to me because it rarely happens. All I can say is YUM! Then our server suggests cheesecake to go and, well, yeah, you know. So if you're looking for a good meal and decently good, friendly service, this is the spot. You won't be disappointed. Keep in mind, this was an off peak hours experience.

Have visited twice once for lunch and once for dinner. French onion soup is terrific. Our burgers for lunch were great at good prices. Dinner was a bit more expensive but the quality and quantity definitely made it worth it. We had ribeye and chicken and waffle. Although we tried valiantly, we both left a bite or two behind. We were lucky a enough to have the same server, Aiegrie, both times. She is wonderful! Such a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be making the short drive more often.

The food was fabulous and the service was top notch thanks to our server Aiegrie. She was friendly and very attentive. This is a great local spot to have a nice sit down dinner and/ or drinks. Nice rustic decor. Reminiscent of some of the restaurants my family shared meals in when I was a kid. I highly recommend checking this place out for a delicious burger and fries, a nicely grilled boneless pork chops (very juicy), green beans cooked just right and really yummy mac n cheese. We will definitely be back. Be sure to ask for Aiegrie.
