Sara's Bakery - Spring Valley

Here's a hidden place where I like to go and I can't believe I didn't check it after all these years! The price is so affordable! This bakery mainly takes care of the business, but its doors are open to the public. No long lines. Get your coffee elsewhere and get yourself and go here. I love all her candy!! My favorites are shown in my home photos. Eat out! So nummy!

Excellent tasting pastries and pan dulce, absolutely loved it!

Was disappointed in the freshness of the pan dulce. Went on a Saturday morning and it was completely empty, not usual for a panaderí­a. We should have known the bread would be old and dry.

This bakery reminded me of how bread was made before, I mean before when Bakers used good quality ingredients, in each type of bread, Butter cookies that taste like butter, BOLILLOS that taste great by themselves and are not full of air. No wonder some successful business such as Lolita's taco shops, Alazanes and couple other chains use their TELERA bread for their Tortas. If you want to taste what a really molasses Piggy shaped bread should taste like, on indulge in a buttery croissant. Or one of my favorites CONCHAS with the festive chocolate topping. Visit this bakery. You'll be glad you did. They also make cakes for to order.
