Bidrage med feedbackI will begin by stating the food in this restaurant is good, but all that is overshadowed by the horrible customer service and terrible attitude of the lady who took care of our table. When she came to take our order, there was a dish that normally comes as a double portion that I was interested in and was wondering if they could do it as a single portion. I politely asked and she bluntly said no without hesitation, this threw me off guard. As I have worked as a server I understand that it can’t always be done, but there is a better way to say no to someone. I then told her I was interested in a noodle soup to which she suggested 3 options and I proceeded to try to ask questions about the dishes and she seemed annoyed. I will note I had never been there before so questions are a normal part of the process, at least in my experience serving other customers. I ended up choosing the spicy beef noodle soup (Note one of the other people I was with got the same dish as a to go along with their dish). When our food arrived I looked through my soup confused because all I could see were vegetables and eggs. I could only find a few noodles and very tiny amount of beef that I had to dig around for which left me more confused. There wasn’t even enough noodles for a regular bite of noodles. I planned on asking my server about my dish and the lack of noodles and beef but she NEVER came to check on us (Note: it was NOT busy and this is a small restaurant). The other girl who had ordered the same thing opened her to go and to my surprise there were plenty of noodles. I immediately assumed there was some sort of mess up with the kitchen, they probably make the dishes at the same and when separating them gave her my noodles and meat. Again I’ve worked in restaurants so I understand these things happen, so we finally just called the server over and I told her that I didn’t get any noodles and simply asked if I could get my noodles so I could enjoy my soup with noodles and not just vegetables with broth. Again she without hesitation bluntly stated no. This upset me, we told her calmly that the to go order had noodles, but mine did not so there must have been a mix up and she proceeded to look at me like I was Karen which was more upsetting because we were nothing but calm and polite. She finally went to talk to the kitchen and came back with the a tiny portion of noodles for my soup and I just lost my appetite. As a former server of an Asian restaurant I would never treat my customers like that, there is a way to handle mistakes and that was not it. The service was flat out rude, and as I saw from other reviews the restaurant is under new ownership so I guess the new owners don’t care about repeat business. Despite the food being decent, we will not be coming back.
Most racist restaurant in Spokane . The hostess attempted to get me to leave by offering me the bussing table. I told her I'd wait to sit at one of the empty booths. She proceeded to say she is too busy to wipe them down. I, not understanding her intentions, again polity said I'd wait and it was no problem. I am seated. She won't look my direction but does look at my white partner. I ask for the bulgogi and give her the spicy level I'd like. She quickly snaps back that I get no spice. Weird. The food comes out and she makes me eat off the serving dish because she gives no bowl or plate to me. My food is terrible. Like left over meat, boiled in water with sesame seeds on it. This is crazy. I get in the car and look at the 1 reviews. Many are from non-korean Asians and poc. I am mixed Asian American with a dark complexion. I've also had to stay home with food poisoning after eating here. Will be reporting her to the health department and I hope somebody gets their pay day videoing her behavior. Ridiculous and pathetic. You are in the US lady. Get yourself together.
They called 911 on myself and my daughter for complaining about inedible food. And demanded I pay for it. Customer service under this new ownership is beyond acceptable, the reviews don’t lie. House of Seoul in Airway Heights is your best bet!!I’ve been eating here for years, and have promoted this business more than any restaurants I’ve dined at. Tonight I ordered food for me and my daughter and received the worst tasting pork bulgogi in my life! It was inedible. I mentioned it to the server, Cherry, and politely asked for the chicken instead and I will pay for the difference, or for it to be remade, or be taken off my ticket. She tried to argue and say they are made different and the chicken is not marinated only the beef and pork is marinated. I’m not dumb, I am a 20yr career chef to know you marinate bulgogi… it even says it on their menu. She declined to make any adjustment. The manager Leo then comes out demanded that it is my order and I WILL pay for it. After going back and forth with him he told me to sue him if I don’t like the food. I finished my meal washed my hands and went up to pay my ticket, and Leo was on the phone with 911 giving them my description and daughter’s, saying I’m am refusing to pay after I ate more than half of the food(fat lie) I asked to speak with the operator and did so. I will NEVER visit establishment and recommend it no more.
Yum Yum Yum! We tried I Love Tofu for the first time during our staycation and really enjoyed the food. The complimentary appetizers (with free refills) had a variety of flavors and were a nice sampling and example of Korean style dining. The broccoli one was *chefs kiss* I had the stir fried tofu and it came out sizzling! It was really good but I only did one star which didn't have any heat and I think adding a little spice next time I get it will make it perfect. My husband tried two dishes and loved them both. They have a large variety of soup options and we can't wait for fall to start trying them.
Top tier food! You have to try the Kabli beef, braised fish and soybean paste soup. I personally prefer them together so you get the richness of the beef cut with the spiciness of the fish and then a fresh and savory bite of the soup. The food is cooked with love and sincere respect to the ingredients. If you're traveling through this is a must try spot while in town
