1884 - Spartanburg

Nice atmosphere and I was pleased with my service. The menu is kind of all over the place which is rarely a good sign. The fried green tomatoes were ok. The “bulgogi bowl” was just a plate of rice with some beef, kimchi, and egg. The flavor of the beef was good but not what I was expecting for $17 and will disappoint you if you are familiar with Korean food. The wines by the glass I tried all tasted like they had been open for days and were not very good.

I can not say enough about Bar 1884, AMAZING!! I’ve been for dinner and brunch, the food is spectacular the atmosphere is inviting and location perfect!!! I’ve had chicken and waffles which I’m so picky about because I favor my own lol but the waffle batter is made to order so it’s customizable and so tasty! Very nice interior design. Very subtle. Not to much going on. Absolutely perfect for dates, anniversary, ect. The food was exceptional. Everything came out in a timely manor and was extremely on point flavor wise. The service was also refreshing. I totally recommend this place if you haven't swung by.

Great place to eat but don’t use your card use cash I’ve not only had this issue but a friend of mines did too this past week they charge extra on your card if you not paying attention. I ain’t saying a tip but they will make it seem like you left a tip. So if you don’t want to get charged more than what you paying for don’t use your card only cash. But otherwise the food is good.

Wide selection for lunch/brunch with a great outdoor seating area. Service was quick, food was extraordinary, and the drink selection extensive. Highly recommend!
