We?re vegetarians which can make dining out more challenging in seaside cities. We were dreading going out to eat tonight when we stumbled across this gem after a drive out to see the Bass Harbor lighthouse. Thank goodness! It was clean, warm, and well lit. Hands down the best food we had in all of Acadia! (and we ate plenty in Bar Harbor) We got the pepperoni pie and spicy fennel sausage pie and just WOW! Straight flavor town. ????????We?re from Brooklyn and eat pizza all the time, but this just hit on a different level ? so delicious we finished both pies with no problem, plus the bread is thin so doesn?t feel as heavy. ALSO do yourself a favor and order the ZEPPOLE for dessert. Absolutely delectable. ???? Oh and the staff
Great food, excellent service! We were here for a week with the family and saw this place on Google Maps. Looked cool and not gimmicky like most Bar Harbor stuff. This place was the best we ate during our whole trip! Food was outstanding and the staff was beyond kind and hospitable and made our large group feel so welcome. Hearth and Harbor was delish! The bartender was warm and friendly. Gave great recommendations, and the kids loved their cheese pizza! We shared the Squash Chowder (so good! , Pepperoni and garlic pizza, and Mushroom Pizza!!
Honestly SO delicious. I'm vegetarian and got the Beech Hill Pie and Lasagna. Pizza crust was flavorful and just the right amount of chewy while still able to hold the toppings. Sauce was great, toppings were primo, just the right combination of herbs. Lasagna is seasonal, I think, but they heat it up in the wood fired over and my god it's so good. Homemade pasta, amazing sauce, right amount of cheese and again, the herb blend was perfect. Boyfriend got the Maine
