Malia Island Fusion Cuisine

My brother and I were down on Sanibel for a spring holiday in March 2019. We wneed to Maila for dinner and drink our last night on the island before we return to MN. The service was excellent. The bartenders take care of us and my parents too well. A bartender gave us a record of octopus that had been ordered in error. The octopus was excellent in presentation and taste. They had a nice wine map and a wide selection of menus for apps and dinners. I had one of the specials, fresh opah with a mushroom risotto, it was the best meal of the trip by far. The chef/owner came and talked to us after the meal, he was incredibly friendly and humble. I also had an amazing carrot cake for dessert, which resembles the quality of the main course. Our waiter, Frankie, took care of us. He made sure our glasses were never dry and that we had everything we needed. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Whether you are here for a short stint, snow bird or a full-time resident, you should surely treat yourself with a visit to Malia.

We stayed in Cape Coral for a week so many different restaurants around. Malias was definitely the best food we had throughout our stay. I'm so glad we made the trip. The ambience is beautiful, the service was spectacular and I still dream filled with my shrimp fillet. Chef Jeff and the whole team are doing an excellent job. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Calamari and Yucca Fries for appetizers were amazing. Triple cockfish with mushroom ravioli and spinach was well presented and over delicious. The desert of Mango Sorbet was delicious and plentiful. Service was great. I'll go.

Her food was delicious and her service was exceptional. The fillet and the Mongolian beef were so delicious. If you have children, you should take them here, even the hamburger is delicious! the elements on the children's menu come in the perfect size. Malia even makes your dessert. All in all, it's a wonderful restaurant.

We have dined at Malia 3 times now (we're locals). The food is fresh, unique, and special. The wine and drinks are interesting. We love the combinations of flavors, making dining here a truly delicious experience. As foodies, we find it hard to go out to eat anywhere. Malia's makes it worthwhile. Great job! We'll be back!
