Bidrage med feedbackAs you dine on exotic food under the sun last Thursday, you may find yourself momentarily transported to a distant city in Lebanon. However, this is not the Levant region, but rather the heart of London, specifically the London Riviera. From now until October, the London Riviera has set up shop in More London, offering cocktails, entertainment, and honest Levantine cuisine from specialist Ceru. I had the opportunity to attend a preview evening with Chef Tom Kime to learn all about Ceru and their exciting plans for the summer of 2015.
Ceru is a Levantine restaurant that opened in 2015, possibly with their first location in Soho at the beginning of the year. They serve seasonal menus with ingredients sourced from Britain, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, and Israel. Currently located in More London, near London Bridge station, their menu includes a mix of classic favorites and new dishes created by Chef Tom Gime. I visited Ceru when it first opened in June and enjoyed both the food and the stunning view. It would be a shame to overlook this restaurant with its beautiful year-round scenery.
Summer has arrived, and what better place to dine than while gazing at the stunning Tower Bridge from a chair in the midst of a heatwave? We were fortunate to visit Ceru when it first opened in Rathbone Place near Tottenham Court Road. The menu is perfect for the summer season, offering a variety of innovative dishes to try. We started with pita bread and an assortment of dips, including hummus, red pepper, and beetroot, all of which were bursting with a multitude of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Ceru has truly crafted some incredible dishes that are difficult to put into words, but we will attempt to do them justice (although you really have to try them for yourself!).
We had the pleasure of being invited to the blogger event at the riviera and we were not disappointed. after visiting rathbone place pop-up. we knew that we would eat something good, but we were saddened by the amazing weather, atmosphere and eating when the sun is out and they are looking somewhere picturesque to get some good food. ceru is the answer. I cannot recommend a special dish, as they are all so different and so full of taste. you need to try and dip the pita. I highly recommend this as it is a taste explosion. the drinks are also amazing there, with a series of fresh juices that I always pick up a little while lunch and a pack.
Ceru, London Riviera – The dining venue by River Thames? Marvellous. From now until the end of October 2015, Ceru has taken over the London Riviera with it's Levantine menu. The Levant is not a country (because I hesitated a moment and thought that it was! How shortsighted of me but not anymore) but a region that includes Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Israel. The executive chef, Chef Tom Kime, spent a considerable amount of time travelling in the Levantine countries to understand and learn their flavours. He develoed Ceru's menu taking great importance on the sustainability of ingredients and the environment Ceru serves breakfast, lunch, dinner alongside an all day menu...read more
