The Urban Village Eatery - Southport

My husband and I have visited the Urban Village Eatery several times. We have witnessed this hidden gem transform into a vibrant and inviting place to gather with friends and enjoy lunch at an affordable price. The food is fresh and delicious, and we are now considering making this our go-to spot for lunch. The owner is friendly and takes the time to interact with customers, ensuring everything is kept clean and the prices are reasonable. Overall, a beautiful place that we highly recommend!

I waited for 30 minutes before being told that they were out of veggie burgers, with no explanation given. I was then offered something else that wasn't on the menu and was directed to speak with the owner of the café. I went to the counter and waited for the owner to finish other tasks before acknowledging me, despite making eye contact multiple times. After 10 minutes of waiting, we asked for a refund and left. The restaurant needs to improve their ordering system as there was confusion and lack of communication. I left feeling very disappointed and will not be returning.

The Urban Eatery is a charming, small café with indoor and outdoor seating under sunshades. Located at the end of Nerang Street in Southport, it is conveniently situated for visitors utilizing the 3 hours of free parking at the Australian Trade Fair. The café offers fast and friendly service, along with excellent coffee. Customers can also take advantage of the Urban Village loyalty card, which offers a free coffee after every 6th purchase. The menu includes light bites and cakes. The café is situated in a quiet location not far from the beach, shops, and the beautiful Broadwater Parklands. It is also conveniently located near bus and light rail transport options.

Waited 30 minutes for a veggie burger to be told they had run out, no apologies were said or anything. I then got offered something different from the menu and was told to speak to the lady I'm guessing who owned it the cafe. I went up to the counter and waited for her while to did everything else but serve me, she kept looking back at me. This went on for 10 minutes, in the end we asked for a refund and left. They need to fix their ordering system, they had no idea who ordered what and it was horrible. Very disappointed and will never return.

The Urban Village Eatery is a delightful, smallish cafe with some indoor, but more outdoor under umbrella type seating. Situated at end of Nerang St in Southport it is perfectly placed to take advantage of Australia Fair's 3 hour free parking.Good fast service for their excellent coffees, get a Urban Village loyalty card for every 6th coffee free.Good light menu / cakes etc. peaceful ,relaxed setting not far from beach, shops, and beautiful Broadwater Parklands. Close to bus/ light rail transport
