Heard so many excellent reviews about this place I thought I 'd pop in and see what all the fuss is about. And I wasn 't disappointed. My GP has given me some tips lately, like leave the sugar out of your tea and seek the places that serve gluten free bread so I consider myself something of a fussy eater. None of which fazed the staff here in any way, shape or form. They had gluten free toast readily to hand and never batted an eyelid at my request for honey in my tea. But everything I 'd read about their Full English Breakfast turned out to be true. It was delicious. And the staff really pride themselves on their warmth and their ability to be helpful. Jen has perhaps the warmest smile and kindest nature in Southport. If I was being a nuisance with my camera (and I usually am) she never showed me anything except her huge and ready smile, and it was such a joy to be treated with such appreciation and kindness. The word of mouth reviews all call this place one of Southport 's hidden gems and I can understand why. I really will be back, if only because the lunch menu looks even better than the incredible breakfast. And the welcome that Peter, Jen and Katrina offer is stunning.
