Reserver

Bidrage med feedbackWe made reservations for 1:00pm brunch in the dining room for Mother's Day. When we arrived 10 minutes early, we were told we did not have a reservation and were handed a buzzer for being seated. When we complained again, we did see the reservation book and did see our name and note about not being seated in a high top was noted for 1:00pm. However that did not get us sat any earlier. And based on the 12 other parties I talked to who had reservations made and not honored, as well as parties who were overbooked for the banquet hall, it became apparent that they weren't honoring any reservations. We were finally sat at 2:15. The people who ordered breakfast/brunch got cold food. We didn't bother complaining because we wanted to just get out. Quite the embarrassment for us. We will not be coming back. Please do not contact me about trying to make it right. I am not interested.
Back to Maggio's for the first time since 2019. The menu has been reduced...which is good. It was too expansive before. Like everywhere, prices have increased. Service was quick and the food was good.
I don't usually go to this extreme, but we had to walk out last night. We sat down and waited 10 minutes just for a server to come and take our drink order, OK we can deal with that, and we asked if we could order our food and server said after he gets our drinks. Ok......Well 15 more minutes, and now we are at 25 minutes waiting, and still haven't ordered our food. We got up looked around and didn't see our server, so we started walking out. As we were walking out, right at front door, our server came out of bar bringing our drinks. Sorry, this is unacceptable. I know everyone is shorthanded these days and I can understand if it was busy, but it was 7:20 and not at all busy. A lot of empty tables.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS mussels!! Great happy hour. I love the Mag!!!
I visited Maggio 's Friday night, June 30, 2023 with two friends around 9pm or so with friends for a late dinner after work. Since it was late, we decided to sit at the bar. We had no idea it was karaoke night which was fine. After being seated and placing our order, more people were funneling in for karaoke. While waiting for our food to come out, I noticed to my right an older couple standing at the bar. They had been trying to get the only bartender on duty 's attention. He was also the only server for all of the tables. Once they were able to get his attention, the woman was pleading to order anything, even just fries or a pretzel as she was not feeling well. The husband tried as well and explained that his wife is diabetic. This caught my attention as the woman was next to me, appeared to look very pale, sweating and her head started nodding. The bartender just kept saying it was too late to order and the kitchen is closing. As the husband kept pleading, I had his wife sit down. My food had just arrived. I immediately grabbed a small bread plate and scooped half of my platter on it and gave it to her. We got her to eat and after a half an hour, she began looking and feeling better. Her husband wanted to pay for my meal but I certainly wouldn 't let him. They both were so grateful. Really Maggio 's for denying help when the woman clearly was going into shock? People were getting ready to call an ambulance, she was clearly sick! The real kicker is at approx 11:40pm, the bartender came out with a full hot sandwich for himself with fries and stood there and ate it behind the bar Infront of patrons! It was just made and hot on a plate. Plus, Maggio 's has signs posted on the bar area to be kind to the staff and be patient while waiting for service because they are short staffed . How ironic!! This was beyond poor judgement, rude, inconsiderate, and terrible service! All of my coworkers who are local were in shock and clearly stated they will find somewhere else for now on. What has this world come to?
