Bidrage med feedbackThe bed and the room in this beautiful old school hall! the memory of the days, to the walls. eat well presented and hot. .
We had high expectations because of the Living Social deal, but unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. I wish we had paid full price instead. The food in the photo looked much better quality than what we received. We were in and out of the restaurant in 20 minutes, which was disappointing considering we were trying to enjoy a meal.
I think this placde has seen better days, the sitting in the bar area was scarf and worn. no brilliant first impression, could be fixed cheaply relatiw. the personal seemed ok. the first option we had was chicken with red onion chutney,...that was good, the main course was a bit left down, only two meats on offer, bark meat and gammon (most other places offer three, in the rule truthahn as the third) limited veg selection with red cabbage, green beef, carrots (both the latter were either frozen or catering. we also had a fair yorkshire pudding. the grinding time would have been improved by adding another vegs, such as cauliflower, anointing and wobble stuffing. the chef looked like he had been better suited to serving from a burger bar. the sticky toffee pudding came after, my was warmest, so I had to ask that it be heated. as I think, with little evolving, my assessment would have been higher
We had the mixed grill that was perfectly boiled and a massive portion size, although they missed the black pudding and did not offer any price reduction for the open. costly at £12.95 it was what they expect to pay.
I don't think this restaurant has been touched since the last school closed down. The food is cold, sparse and totally inedible. Afternoon tea is a definite no-no. Spend some money Mr.Owner!!!
