Bidrage med feedbackWe went tonight for dinner. We went right when they opened since we heard about the wait times. The pizza was really good, and they let us do half and half so my husband and I could split one. My chicken florentine side of the pizza is pictured in this review- it?s delicious! I?m giving 3 stars because of the rest of our food- garlic bread really wasn?t garlic bread, it was just toasted bread. It didn?t even seem to have butter on it and no garlic flavor. The house salad that came with our pizza had wilting and brown-spotted lettuce which was a big turn off. We ordered dessert to go (1 slice carrot cake, 1 slice chocolate cake) and both were just okay. Service was moderate- we could have used refills on more than one occasion. Not the worst place, but not the best either given the price point.
We had to wait outside for 40 minutes for our party of 3 on a Thursday evening with just one group in front of us. After being seated for 15 minutes, we finally got our soda and bread, and omg. It was the best bread I had ever tasted. If I had left right there, I might have left this place a five star review. I was so distracted by the bread that I didn?t realize until later that the Diet Coke was definitely not Diet Coke. It was either Coke Zero or just regular Coke. Towards the end of the meal, I braved letting them know, but what they returned with was still the same thing. Soda drinkers will know how annoying this is. The pizza was not for me. It had that pizza sauce that Italian restaurants like to use that if you?re a fan of pizza chains or if you?ve actually been to Italy, then you know it doesn?t fit into either category. What it lacked in flavor, it tried to make up for in sweetness. Yuck. Someone else at my table had the tuna (cooked medium), and they said it was amazing. So there?s that. The desserts were the final slap in the face (if you don?t count the triple digit bill for the whole disappointment). The tiramisu? This place does not know what tiramisu is. They do get points for using fresh ceylon cinnamon (if you know, you know). But the points stop there. The tiramisu is otherwise absolute garbage. If the tiramisu was at least grocery-store level, then that plus the amazing pre-gaming bread would have earned this place a four stars from me. I?m wild about tiramisu, and I?m willing to overlook some crazy things for some crazy good tiramisu. But that?s not what this was. My disappointment was immeasurable, and my day was ruined. I tried the desserts the two other people at my table got, and they weren?t great either. I plan on going back some day for that amazing bread, but I?ll be trying entirely different items on the menu. And maybe I?ll get an unsweet tea if they haven?t sorted out their Diet Coke situation.
Great food, great service, and beer selection. We usually order to go since it's busy at night. I love their calamari, we all enjoy their pizza salads are ok. Their desserts are usually spot on but they the strawberry toppings for the cheesecake. I had a stout before cashing out. You should try their PB stput with their double chocolate stout.
Very good Italian restaurant. We ordered pasta carbonara ?My Way?, and a chicken Parmesan sub. The pasta was not the traditional carbonara. They used bow tie pasta bacon and chicken with small Roma tomatoes cubes. I would say that I did miss to have some fresh Parmesan to top it with, but they did have the packaged kind available on the table. The sub came with fries and was also very good. Salad and bread came with the dinner. We got a table outside and enjoyed it very much. Friendly service.
Went today with my wife and kid. Wait was about 15 minutes on a Wednesday night. It was totally worth it. Kids pizza was awesome. My boy ate 3 slice. The calzone I ordered was one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. The fries were soggy and didn't taste too great. My wife had some seafood dish that she said was the best she has had on the island so far. Service was great. Prices are a little high, but this is pretty close to fine dining standards on the island.
