Stony's - South Orange

Great food for a great price! Waiting staff is friendly and ambience is relaxed if not busy. Excellent chicken sandwiches and fries! NOTE: Just don't go at the end of the month a black police officer likes to hang in the front parking lot and give people bs tickets (intens, double parking for 2 seconds, etc.) to fill his quota. My buddy has a ticket (wind protection ink) when parking. While we ate, we saw how the cop issued another dozen tickets while we were standing in the middle of the parking lot, including a lady who took up her friend with the parking lot in a disabled place for less than 30 seconds.

Update Anyone that may have been interested in trying this spot should know (if you don't already) that the owners have retired to Norfolk, VA... I was genuinely upset to see them go but hey everybody deserves a break, right...? At any rate, there's a new place that opened in the same locale called Miti Miti, if you try them out make sure to sample the empanadas... Stony's thnxx for the courteousness and deliciousness you served, you will be missed.... Went here as a suggestion from a friend, because I love burgers and I have to say I was happily surprised.. I'm a mushroom lover so I had a burger with mushrooms and swiss cheese and onion rings... The burger was nice and juicy, the seasonings were flavorful but not overpowering and the onion rings were crisp and fresh. Definitely going back there..

My husband and I love this place. Especially in the summer time. It's a little small but it's a cute little hang out. And they have outdoor seating. I love any restaurants with outdoor seating!

Our first time at Stony's I had turkey burger with gorgonzola cheese ,lettuce, tomato, pickels, warm red onions. The best burger good to the last bite. I also had the sweet potato fries yum yum. Great meal thanks Stony' s we'll see you again very soon
