Bidrage med feedbackDuring a recent trip to the countryside, I stayed in the village of Strathaven and stumbled upon this bakery. As a home baker myself, I decided to purchase a small loaf from what was claimed to be Scotland's oldest bakery. Unfortunately, the bread I bought was of poor quality - it was bland, tasteless, and overpriced. After trying to eat it as toast, I ultimately gave up after a few bites. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment.
It has been years since I tasted such fantastic cakes. The ambiance is just as I remembered it - a truly high-quality experience!
Yesterday in July, I waited for an hour to be seated at the café, even though they were not busy. My family and I noticed that other customers were leaving because of the long wait. Feeling frustrated and hungry, we decided to take our business elsewhere. This was not the first time this happened, as it had occurred the week before as well. I would understand if they were busy, but they were not, so they are losing customers.
Simply the best the cakes are great, but the brot is phenomenal. always try something else and was never disappointed.
Alexander Taylor have x retail outlets on opposite corners of the street, and this review is for the cafe-deli. We came here on a couple of mornings for coffee. The lady in charge (sorry, didn’t get your name) is a lovely, delightful person whose...service is fabulous and whose coffee is lovely. It’s a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and we LOVED it.
