The food at this restaurant is delicious and offers great value for money in Coniston. However, the real ale selection is not well-maintained, despite having a good variety to choose from. The layout of the restaurant is a bit unconventional.

The rude manager, who wore sunglasses indoors and spoke with a Scottish accent, took my food that I requested to go and threw it away. It seems he doesn't understand the concept of takeout.

This bar offers a selection of real ales, mostly from local microbreweries, but all are priced quite high. We have been vacationing in Coniston for the past ten years, but this was our first time...

Weird to see recent bad reviews as we had a great meal here at the weekend.. I saw a rehire saying the manager was rude, if it’s the guy behind the bar, he’s a good lad, sarcastic humour so might be lost on some. The food was great and the restaurant area is lovely.. haggis pakora starter is a winner..

Dirty tables, toilets filthy, expensive, no atmosphere, wish we never wasted so much money. A Shame as the actual meal was very nice. Would never go back.
