Bidrage med feedbackOrdered a bacon, sausage and egg roll which was excellent. Three really good bacon rashers, two sausages and two fried eggs in a large roll……very tasty and very good value for money.
Oh my giddies......the most ridiculously luscious rarebit today at The Lunesdale Bakery Kirby Lonsdale...laden with exquisite pickles and chutters.....lentil and beetroot salad on the side...for goodness sake !!! Very upset at the nasty attitude and rudeness of the chef. Our overpriced lunches arrived without butter on the sandwiches, I waited and looked at around for the waiting staff, I couldn 't see them so I approached the kitchen door and caught the chefs eye and said 'excuse me '. He snapped Do not speak to me. I am cooking. Go and find someone else. I said there was no one here. He ignored me. I returned to my dry sandwich, we ate up and left. Would not come here again. He was snapping and snarling with staff also. Maybe he thinks he 's Gordon Ramsey he 's not. Even I can cook soup and a sandwich without being rude to people.
Breakfasts were unsatisfactory and highly priced. Staff unfriendly and obviously unhappy, as we 're our fellow diners having to listen to the chef swearing at staff! Found out later that this 'bakery ' doesn 't even bake bread !!!!
Very disappointed with our visit. We were passing and saw the sign saying a nice roaring fire. As we just wanted a drink we went in. Good reception, but the problem was that we ordered a hot chocolate, a peppermint tea and a toasted tea cake. The tea was fine, maybe a bit weak probably a scone tea bag in the pot would have helped. The hot chocolate as tepid at best, and the tea cake was fine when it arrived but by the time that the butter, jam and finallly the knife arrived the tea cake was cold. It took 3 visits to get all elements of the tea cake. Won’t be going there again.
