Bidrage med feedbackMany types of viands to choose from. Though it was a bit expensive, it fairly passed my tastebuds' standards. Staff are accommodating and will take your order swiftly. No need to line up at the cashier after you order your food. Just go to your table and eat. One of their staff will check and list the food you've ordered and you'll be given a number that you'll bring once you pay at the cashier. Besides the cashier are the usual Pinoy delicacies that Mer's is famous for. The area is a bit crowded during our visit. We waited around 10mins before we have our table. It was lunch and the temperature outside is scorching hot. Good thing their ACs are all working well. We'll come back to try their other viands. Minus points on the avocado shake I ordered. Looks like they put a little of the avocado and more on other stuff.
Mer 's is a go-to Kitchenette for your fix of delicacies and pastries. You can also get meals here. We stopped over for brunch and got Bagnet, Okoy, and fried Lumpia. Food options aren 't bad, but maybe they adjusted it to the taste of the locals. The Lumpia was pretty sweet, so we doused it with suka and some toyo. Bagnet was perfectly crispy and marinated. Their version of Okoy is grandiose (compared to Manila ones) as they use Tiger Prawns, although that 's all there is to their recipe. My other friends told me that their Bibingka is the best. Unfortunately we only tried their Puto--a nice choice too. Very siksik and you can definitely taste the Gata.
The food and selection is very good. Nice restaurant, nice people, very good brewed coffee. But being accosted by beggars in the parking lot is a real problem. Every time I go there. This needs to stop.
Mer's is a favorite place for stop over by motorists traveling to and from Davao City. Since childhood days, our father would always have a side trip to their original store right in the center of Digos, Davao del Sur for snacks or meals, depending on what time of the day we're in the area. Famous for their native delicacies like bibingka, suman, tupig, and would later grow into a wide array of sweets and anything that can pass for a pasalubong. The new location along the highway is proof that Mer's has gone a long way. It is now a landmark for travelers and a pride of Digos. They also serve hot meals, coffee and other snacks like pasta, frappe, etc. You just have to stop, eat and go!
A very standard car stop. Plenty of food to choose from but it isn't made to look very appetizing. Reasonable prices though.
