We were a large group (13 which tested the mettle of the restaurant; the servers and kitchen rose to the occasion. We all shared an assortment of starters and everyone seemed pleased. My main was one of the chicken specialties (gulbahar? , which was delicious. The restaurant could accommodate varying tolerances to spice. It is BYOB, but the restaurant provided glassware and service was excellent.
The restaurant was able to accommodate four diners for two hours at short notice on a Friday evening. Service was efficient despite it being full. A good choice of tasty dishes served promptly. Remember to bring your own (alcoholic) drinks if you wish to – there is a Sainsbury’s Local just 50 metres along the road.
Not sure what's happened here but can only imagine it's been taken over- this is not how this restaurant used to be. Absolute chaos would be the word that I would select to describe the experience- waited two hours for main courses that were very disappointing and swimming in oil once they arrived. Had to ask multiple times for drinks, water, the bill. Prices have also gone up so we paid £50 for 2 people to have main courses, popadoms and 2 soft drinks. Am not sure why there are no reviews here form some time- my advice would be to avoid as we will in the future.
Fantastic meal, beautifully prepared meal and the service was perfection! BYO on the booze made it even better, especially with a Sainsburys local a couple of hundred yards away. Attention to detail was as good as it could possibly be when my starter arrived as per the attached photo, following an apparently innocent enquiry as to my football allegiances!!!
