Mad Hatters Tea Room - South Derbyshire

We enjoyed our lunch so much. We had egg, ham,chips and salad. Excellent value and service. There's plenty of choice but we wanted comfort food. The portions were too big for us but can't please everyone I suppose. We ate outside as it was a nice sunny day. Well done ladies will have a light bite next time though and a beautiful slice of cake and cup of tea

The good things about this cafe make it a 5 star place. The bad makes it 1/2 stars. The good things are having a nice seating area inside, a broad menu and somewhere to have a nice warm drink. One of the staff has always been lovely and friendly. The bad things are it closing at random times, including bank holidays when you'd expect the park to be busy. Plus sometimes, not all, the customer service is appalling. If you ask if they do something or have something they don't have the request is treated like a personal insult. It's happened many times but the most ridiculous was when my husband queued at the window for ice creams. It was a busy day and he queued about 20mins, he was super thirsty so also asked for a coke, but no he'd have had to queue again inside for another 20 mins. So no ice cream sold inside and no coke sold at the window.

Lovely staff. Clean tidy. Very welcoming . Huge portions. Fabulous gravy. The best I've tasted. Great food too.

We quite often pop in for a coffee when we're having a long walk. The staff are very helpful and nice. The cafe does breakfasts and jacket potatoes etc. It's nearly always busy in there. The cakes on the counter always look appealing.

This cafe is excellent with a clean environment and friendly, efficient service. It offers a wide variety of options to suit all tastes and is great value for money.
