Bidrage med feedbackI have ordered from Woochi multiple times and have consistently been impressed with the amazing sushi. While some items may be a bit pricier, the overall atmosphere, food quality, and service are excellent. It is an ideal spot for a meal with friends or family, whether for lunch or dinner. The outdoor seating is a great option as well. Just be mindful of their operating hours, as they close at 2pm for lunch and reopen for dinner.
We ordered the Hibachi Shrimp and Grill, the Dynamite Sushi, and Wok Rice at the restaurant. All the dishes exceeded our expectations. You can't go wrong with the prices here!
I highly recommend making a reservation if you're planning on dining here over the weekend. The ambiance is lovely, the staff is welcoming, and the food is delicious. Even my partner, who usually doesn't enjoy sushi, couldn't get enough of it.
I went to woochi fusion last night before a show at the Morris. We had reservations for 6:15. We got right in around 6:10. Sad to say nobody came to take our drink order for ten minutes. We ordered two mic ultras. It took another ten minutes to get the beers. We ordered an appetizer, pot stickers, and they came out fairly fast and they were tasty. We then ordered our entrees. I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp. I'd never been to woochi before and the only other Japanese food I've had was at Hana yori. So that is how I compared. The rice and veggies were pretty good. The steak was a huge disappointment. It was supposed to be medium rare but it came out nearly well done and it was not even luke warm. It was almost cold. Yuck. The shrimp was warmer and much tastier than the steak. The steak and shrimp comes on top of a giant lettuce leaf. I would rather it come without the lettuce. I assume it's for looks. But it's just in the way when you're trying to cut your steak chunks, and it just looks all slimy and wilted. I can't say I'd be excited to go here again, but I would go back for a second try. I wish the tables weren't so packed together. It reminded me of a school lunchroom. It was loud and everyone can hear your conversation and you can hear theirs. If I had a choice between woochi and Hana yori, I'd pick Hana yori.
The food was just okay, but the food safety was really not good. From my table it was clear the kitchen makes maki rolls in advance and stores the in open air at room temperature for the duration of dinner service. Some of what I ordered was freshly made. But one roll was not the shrimp was rubbery and the tempura soggy the rice was dry. I would not trust eating here after what I saw but I will say the sweet potato maki was great.
