Okasan Ramen - South Bend

We have been waiting for a good ramen spot in town, and this was well worth the wait! The tea was super tasty, food was fresh, good portions, and SO delicious!! Great service and very friendly! Can?t wait to become regulars here! We will be back again, VERY soon!! Thank you for an amazing dinner!

I'm so happy this place finally opened. I have to say the wait was definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Do you know if you come here you order at the counter first before you sit down. They currently don't have any servers. Granted the place is small enough to where they don't need it. As for the food, the ramen is absolutely delicious. Also had the spring rolls which I highly suggest you get. I didn't notice that they had boba tea until I was getting ready to leave. So, I will be coming back to try that as well.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Our group of four tried every flavor of ramen available during the soft opening. Each one had a wonderful flavor profile!!! Presentation was on point!! We also has the flavored tea and it was amazing! This is definitely a must try for anyone who loves ramen! If you have a bigger appetite, you can purchase extra noodles ????

This place just recently opened and overall a good experience. We had the spring rolls, chicken ramen and the pork ramen. All of the food dishes were good. As for the service...slow. The owner did apologize to us. So as for the benefit of a doubt since it's a new business, hopefully they'll figure out how to improve...

I was eager to try this place based on the reviews because everyone spoke so highly about it. However, this place was not it. It is better than a lot of places in the area but being from the Chicago area originally, this ramen just ain?t it. I?ve tried over 100+ and I?d give this a good C-. The broth taste is so off I can?t really put my finger on it. It?s definitely has a pungent flavor but it has an off-putting after taste. Almost like very old pork. The presentation is nice tho. The rice bowl that I had did have flavor but was so dry you eventually can?t eat it after the 3rd bite.The boba tea is okay. It has a very loud artificial taste as well. The bao buns was very very dry and flavorless as well. However, a lot of the places in South Bend doesn?t really HIT the flavor palate well. But I will say this place is much better than a lot of places here but still mediocre at best. Secondly, the service is not that great either and the hostesses come off a bit rude and a bit mean. I was uncomfortable asking for things due to their rude behavior. REPLY As a business owner, the first rule is integrity! You lied about three times in your response to me. When I came in I brought with me for my nephew and son burgers from waka dog which they originally wanted. My husband mixed up their order at your establishment which got my toddler terribly upset which would make any toddler mad! I quickly tried to handle it without him blowing it out of portion. I didn?t scold or berate him, I tried to quiet him immediately before interrupting other peoples meal! Secondly, the extra order was for my nephew who realized after eating waka dog he wanted ramen too so he had my husband order him ONE. NO ONE finished their meal but you did give us THREE to go boxes because no one liked it and we didn?t want to throw it all away in front of you guys since you were starring us down the whole time!
