Bidrage med feedbackBy the time we visited this place it seemed to be only a cocktail bar not a restaurant. By anyway, we really loved it! The cocktails were delicious and view from the terrace was directly on the sunset, so very romantic.
After a long wait, we finally got our grilled fish, which was decent but not exceptional. The other dishes on the menu were also tasty, but they were out of crab. The shrimp dish, however, was quite delicious.
Juliet, the proprietor and cook of Baracuda, makes great prawns and pesto pasta. The mojito is likewise good, and Juliet will get you in the mood to drink by giving rhum-on-the-house. Juliet personally entertains her diners, and it makes for an appetizing and entertaining experience...in Donsol.
My group of 8 non-vegetarians and 3 vegetarians went to the restaurant for dinner. We had pre-ordered our vegetarian dishes while we were in the bar next door. The three vegetarians went over to the restaurant when we were ready. The potato dish, salad, and pasta we had were tasty. However, the owner insisted on not cooking in any particular style and only adding salt, pepper, and searing seafood. We were not interested in seafood as we were vegetarians. The non-vegetarians found the owner's attitude unaccommodating, so they decided not to have their dinner there.
I'm glad I listened to all of the excellent reviews...my experience here was amazing. Fish was fresh and excellently prepared. Squid salad was to die for. And the calamansi margaritas were a perfect compliment to the meal. Juliet was a joy to meet and a...pleasure to get to know. I will be back again for sure!! p.s. Thanks for the moped!!
