Bidrage med feedbackSpent the weekend with my girlfriend in Sonoita. Our accommodations were next door at the Sonoita Inn and steak sounded good to both of us. I hadn’t been back to The Steak Out since 2005, but my recollection is that it was quite expensive. And I can confirm that indeed, it is still the case. The atmosphere is pleasant. A low-light setting. Some fellow playing country tunes on his guitar. My girlfriend ordered the Ribeye cooked rare. I had the T-Bone, medium rare. Mine was cooked to perfection, tender and delicious. She confided that hers was rather sinewy and tough. I had two glasses of the house cab; she had a cocktail. Bill total came to $110.77. Add tip for a grand total of $132 or $66 per person. The hostesses were great, service was less than: a bit slow, not very engaging and seemed disinterested. My recommendation — if you’re gonna drop that kinda coin on steaks, don’t waste your money on a steak you’re gonna be disappointed with — just go ahead and get the Filet Mignon. It’s as thick or thicker than the filet portion of the Porterhouse, and certainly much thicker, larger than that of the T-Bone and it’s all “knife through butter” tenderness.
Selina was great as our server. We had 8 people in our party and were served our drinks quickly. Our order was brought to the table as ordered without exception on the cook on the meat. The steaks were flavorful and the BBQ spare ribs were excellent. The band was loud and probably would have sounded better if the volume were half. We'll be back.
Two thumbs up from Canada! Best steak I ever had. Friendly stuff, live music overall nice looking place. Hope to make it back again.
Service Tracy was our bartender and is the main reason I am giving this place a poor rating. She was not attentive and was not helpful with questions. I had to get her attention for almost every single request. It’s like she was in the hurry to walk away and do nothing. She didn’t even cash us out. I ended up leaving her a $5 tip because of the terrible service. Owner, if you are reading this, Tracy needs some retraining or she needs to find another industry to work in. Food The ribeye was ok. Nothing really special about it. It lacked flavor and was unevenly cooked. The lamb chops were unevenly cooked as well and very tough for medium rare. Cowboy beans were also very plain and the “homemade” ranch tasted like mayonnaise. The potato wedges were good, though. Atmosphere The atmosphere was great. Live music is part of the reason I am giving this place an extra star. Parking: It’s an open gravel lot and doesn’t have designated parking spaces
Better steaks at Texas roadhouse. To expensive for the quality. Got a sonoita strip, all I tasted was liquid smoke. Baked potato was depressing, salad looked like it was right out of a bag. All that for 35 bones, Yikes... service was also sub par, only saw out waiter maybe 2 times in the 2 hours we were there. Only good thing i can say about the place was that the musician they had that night was amazing.
