Cafe Picasso - Somerville

One of my Faves!. Love Cafe Picasso and was very happy to have my dinner here! Yes, it is expensive, but they offer several nights of specials during the week. Wednesday's half-price chicken can't beat! Never really had dessert here because parts are big and we never get so far. Is a bit on the loud side and can be very warm in the front room as the kitchen is open, but I am here with a party of 2 and a party of 40 and it is always delicious.

Excellent. As good as Mommas. Even better because she doesn't have to cook.

Really Italian. The food was delicious, a real Italian meal. The restaurant is quite cramped, you will probably go the waiter elbowing, but if you don't mind, definitely go! Very expensive, but worth it.

Ambience is classic but service is lacking. My wife and I have gone to Cafe Picasso a few times for lunch and we love the ambience. The food is reasonably priced and pretty tasty, too. The service however is lacking. My waiter [I beleive his name is Tony] seemed to have an attitude when asked about the lunch specials. He didn't check on us once to determine whether we were enjoying or meal. Let me set the scene. The restaurant was about 15% full and our waiter was busy chatting it up with the cook while the cook was doing his job... COOKING! We had to flag down a passing bus boy to get refills of our drinks. This is the 2nd time we were NOT impressed with the service. Maybe it is better for dinner

Spectacular food! I've eaten here dozens of times and enjoyed every bite! Mon-Wed they have some half price items, so you can be very frugal. BYOB, with liquor right next door.
