Clean. Outside and indoor seating. Friendly staff. Had salmon sandwich and halibut blackened. Very good! Water bowl for dogs in outside patio was thoughtful. Fish house located in upper level of two story building. Walk down cedros after dinner is a nice stroll away.. will be back. We wanted to grab some food that was easy to eat to go, and stumbled upon Solana Beach Fish House. We saw that they had Fish n' Chips, and the general consensus led us to trying it out. PARKING Small lot for several businesses, but we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. SERVICE The staff was very patient with us as we waited inside for our friends to text us their orders. We lingered for about 15 minutes so we appreciated them allowing us to stand around. Once we ordered it didn't take more than another 15 minutes for our large group order to come out. If you were dining in, there's a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside as well. FOOD 3 piece Cod $17.95): We were so excited to eat this once we opened the box! Once we took our first bite, we were so happy we found Solana Beach Fish House. The batter is so light and crisp and crunchy, and the fish inside was moist and juicy. The fries were cooked well too! Fried Fish Sandwich $13.95): I thought this would be like any other fish sandwich, but WOW the sourdough bread blew me away! It was perfectly toasted, and had the perfect amount of sourness to it. Again, the fried fish was crisp and crunchy. OVERALL Definitely glad we stumbled upon this spot! Would come back if we're in the area again!

For more than 28 years, Solana Beach Fish House is, and has been, one of the best neighborhoods restaurants in the area. The quality is consistently good, the service is excellent, the beers are cold, and the atmosphere is unpretentious. I've been coming here for years....
