Destination Smokehouse Eatery - Soboba

Terrible experience with destination smokehouse. Attended the smoke out the hub event and waited 2 1/2 hours for food to be told they were sold out. We arrived at the venue at 4:45pm and left around 7:50pm without eating any bbq. The doors opened at 3 pm, and there was an hour wait to enter the event. There is no excuse for lack of preparation and execution. We paid $50 for entry to experience utter disappointment. Social media shows the owner promoting but does not show the numerous complaints from young and old customers due to running out of food in a extremely short time frame, lack of communication and lack of execution from his team. There was 0 communication while we waited hours in the summer heat and when we asked a staff member if there would be enough food they said yes they would have enough. -10 out of 5 stars.

Someone needs to update the google information for the location in Murrieta. I had to find the location with Instagram. It says the shopping center name on Instagram so I searched the Kalmia Plaza on google maps to find it. The flavor of the oxtails and brisket is amazing. Definitely worth the trip. The oxtails are fall off the bone as promised. I think we got the tough side of the brisket but the flavor was second to none. I will ask for the point next time. They were out of pork so unfortunately we could not try those pork ribs but that is the goal for the next trip. Walt was a great host! Keep up the good work!

ALL ABOARD!! Everyone should be on board to taste, the most tender, mouth watering oxtails ever. I ain't ever had oxtails as good as these. Everything on the menu look delicious. The service from cashier to cook to host was great. The brisket and cheddar sandwich was also off the rails!!! Thank you!!!

We drove all the way from Sacramento to try the famous smoked oxtails ????. Everything was delicious!! ????Definitely worth the drive!! ?
