Bidrage med feedbackWe spent an unforgettable afternoon at the War Museum, led by the very articulated Shalina through many sights. From the Teddy Hut to her favorite Passage Watch, she explained in detail the personal stories of war. I would highly recommend paying the extra and organizing a tour guide to add to your union.
It was interesting to see how they reflected on conflicts as settlement and all the way up to current times. I have 2 teenagers and it had a real impact on them. It brought our story very close to home. A memory of all the veterans and those who serve for their service.
This is a great place to visit - it's large, spacious, and educational. However, the café is currently closed, so be sure to bring your own snacks. The staff are not welcoming and do not seem interested in interacting with guests. They may require supervision.
We arrived at 11:00 for brunch. My wife enjoyed a Greek salad prepared in front of her, while I had a freshly made mini pizza. Both dishes were delicious! The atmosphere is a bit on the cool side, but the food and coffee are tasty and the prices are reasonable. This café is a great addition to the museum.
I consider this museum to be on par with the WWII museum in New Orleans. While it may not be as interactive, the exhibits are well designed and organized with detailed information in each section. The highlight is the impressive collection of full-size tanks, vehicles, artillery, and other items. It is a fitting tribute to those who have served. Well done!
