Beignet Au Lait - Slidell

The food here is VERY tasty! but the service is horrible, the dining room is not very clean and they only have two 4 seater tables… best bet is to order on door dash so that you can actually enjoy the food. not to mention the responses from the owner to some of these reviews are pathetic.

Best Beignets in Louisiana! I drive from New Orleans to get them.

Jenny was wonderful. But whoever the cook was should be fired ASAP but she seems to be the owner.. The attitude was awful and extremely disrespectful. We came in from out if town and she didn't smile or even say good morning just basically threw the food on the table..IF YOU WORKING BACK OF THE HOUSE PLEASE STAY IN THE BACK BECAUSE ALL THE CUSTOMERS FELT THAT NEGATIVE ENERGY.. just rude I would never be back. Original Post — Love the wedding cake mini beignets. The grits were a good consistency, but bland. Not much you can say about the eggs. Overall the food was good but waaaaaaaay overpriced. Reply to Owner — I've actually had grits from other restaurants that didn't need seasoning. Maybe you've never tried Nice Guys or MKM Creations in New Orleans, Fill-Up with Billups in Biloxi or even A Touch of Italy in Slidell (just to name a few). NEVER had to add seasoning. Stopped in and got some beignets to go!! Really good, freshly made…melt-in-your-mouth!! Clean, family friendly. Loved chatting with the owner! Definitely worth a stop!
