Den Lilla Krogen - Skoevde

This restaurant is the best in town. Their steak tartare is incredible and rivals that of high-end restaurants in larger cities. The quality is very high.

I have previously reviewed this restaurant. During my last visit, I was impressed by the food but not by the service. However, this time it was the opposite. The interior of the dining area is cozy, with exposed brick walls and dim lighting. We were warmly greeted and seated at our table. Our server was attentive, helpful, and not intrusive. Her wine recommendation perfectly complemented our meal. We both ordered the ribeye, which came with asparagus, fried mashed potatoes, mayonnaise, red wine sauce, and hazelnuts. Every item on the plate was cooked perfectly, although the seasoning was a bit off. After a while, it became clear that the dish was overly salty. My dining partner also noticed this. Despite this issue, the food was otherwise excellent. If the chef had been more conservative with the salt, I would give this restaurant a five-star rating.

Lovely local restaurant, using locally sourced ingredients. They offer a limited, but well thought through and prepared menu, with some seasonal variations. Variety of locally brewed beers in addition to an excellent vine selection.

Got into a very pleasant conversation with Jonathan, the somalie, on the latest organic wines they brought in. His preferences was the rose with grilled meat, had to test it and turned out as a very nice combination A very nice restaurant experience, nothing expected in Skövde
