Bidrage med feedbackThe best herbal soups in Singapore! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. All their soups are delicious and hearty. They are a bit pricey but worth the money as they are filled with ingredients and herbs. The yam rice is also terrific. The chilli goes well with the meat. Can skip the sides like vegetables and prawn rolls as they are just average. We spent $43 per pax.
The best chicken soup in Singapore! It is famous for turtle soup but I am not a fan. I ordered chicken soup instead and it was incredible. So strong flavour in herbs, so rich, so thick. I can feel the collagen as my lips we’re sticky after drink the soup. But it was a bit pricey. The fried shrimp ball and omelette rice were good too. But the soup is the best. I want to go back and drink again.
Claypot Turtle Soup 24/39/50/65 To my surprise, turtle meat tastes and feels similar to chicken actually. Turtle skin’s texture is akin to gelatin and I like that they cooked it till soft. I wonder why I didn’t dare to eat these last time? This soup is rich in collagen and antioxidants, and help to strengthen the heart, liver and kidney. Imagine all the nutrition that I have been missing out all these years!!! Ginseng Black Chicken 13 Nourishes blood and improves digestion. Have always enjoyed the herbal ginseng taste! Cordyceps White Chicken 13 Improves liver and lung functions. First time trying this and I also enjoy the rich herbal flavour of this soup! Handmade Prawn Roll (6 pcs) 10 Minced pork and prawns with crunchy chestnuts, so tasty! Jade Tofu (4 pcs) 8.80 New item! I’m not a fan of tofu but the spinach topping makes the tofu more fragrant and flavourful so I enjoy it a lot! If you’re looking for a different type of cuisine in Singapore, this is the place to go! In my opinion, the best turtle soup you can get in this sunny island! In picture is the $39 claypot turtle soup filled with different parts of the turtle. They are very cleanly cooked and no gamey smell or taste. Soup tastes rich and you could also taste the layer of collagen. If you’re not so adventurous, their Ginseng Black Chicken soup is fantastic as well. They are definitely not stingy with the herbs put into each soup and just makes you come back for me. Note that you could also ask for a one time refill of the soup if you want more. Come early as this place gets packed during meal times and they offer takeaway too.
This restaurant serves the best turtle soup in Singapore. I recommend getting the claypot version as it is thicker and has good portions of turtle meat. Unlike other stalls that include chicken in their soup, this one is made with only turtle meat. The homemade prawn balls are also delicious - fried to a crispy exterior with a soft inside. I will definitely be returning to try their fish maw dish as well.
