Seoul Yummy offers 3 vegetarian main – yachae japchae $12.80), yachae bibimbab $13.80), and doenjang jjigae $13.80). I had passed the Yachae Japchae, which consisted of stir-fried glass noodles with crispy vegetables black mushroom, capsicum, carrot, cucumber, did not decide on onion) and chew Umami mushrooms enoki, shiitake. I would have appreciated the possibility of adding egg, tofu or meat analogue for protein. The glass noodles were more on the soft side than on the Bouncy side, and the overall taste was more on the sweet side than hearty. The vegetarian Banchan secondary dishes were the refreshing acidic and spicy cucumbers and radishes; the bean sput and Kimchi contained chicken and fish sauce. I tried the yapchae japchae at this restaurant and it was pretty good! They also gave us complimentary appetizers like tofu. This is a great place to go with friends who aren't vegetarian, as they have options for everyone.

I felt it would have been nice to have the option of adding egg, tofu, or meat substitutes for protein. The glass noodles were soft rather than chewy, and the overall flavor leaned more towards sweetness than savory. The vegetarian side dishes included tangy pickled cucumber and radish, while the beansprouts and kimchi had chicken or fish sauce. In general, it was a satisfying, uncomplicated Korean meal. I was pleased to find vegetarian choices at a popular Korean restaurant, and the staff were helpful in guiding us through the menu.
