Estrela Do Norte - Sines

We went to Estrela do Norte twice in 2 weeks for the feijoada de búzios. It's that good! The feijoada de búzios is indeed excellent. Don't let the portion fool you, the pan seems small but it is plenty for 2 people! Add a little...bit of the spicy sauce and it becomes even more delicious! Service was good and the owner was helpful, except in the part of the food allergy questions for dessert. Then it was weird. The waitress herself told me she though they needed a food allergy workshop as they didn't know how to handle very well.

The food and service was good, but when we had to pay, they wanted us to pay 9 euros for the bread and the butter they put! Specially whe we didnt order that! And when we complaint about it the boss said that the person...that doesn't want it doesn't touch it and so, don't have to pay (putting the same to another person) Ridiculous. They just wanted to make money with us, that's all. So unfair. Don`t go unless they really change prices and mentality of getting unfair money from foreigners.

Found this out of the way restaurant on the beach. Traveling south on the loop road around Sines, we followed signs to the great eatery. Though language was a bit of a hurdle, pointing to fresh fish in the display case and selecting from a...generous array of wines, made for easy menu selections. My wife selected a fish they labeled mist. I had their salmon. Both excellent. The restaurant overlooks the Atlantic.

We had gone several times and eating before was good and accepted prices. the restaurant has changed the owners in the 22nd august and now the prices are very high! we paid for 4 beers and a small platelet garnel 15 euro! the fee 45euros/kg for...shrimp! bullshit!

After waiting for a long time (over 20 minutes) that the waitress came to the table, she was rude to us then after we put a simple question about the menu and she went away. then, after we said that it was very little...available in the menu, we were then ignored. we just went out. eating could be amazing though-have no warning!
