Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped here for lunch as it was recommended to us and the drinks, food, atmosphere, and service were all great. We will definitely be returning. Everything is high quality and attention is given to detail. Ingredients are fresh and the selection is great.
Plain and simple----It is promoted as an upscale dining spot. Out of a group of 10 only 2 were satisfied. I most cases food was average but priced sky high
This place is fantastic from start to finish. As much local, fresh & delicious food as one could want and need. The menu has something for everyone and the portions are very generous. Ambiance and service are top notch for any occasion and Chef Ryan Rivard is awesome and so passionate about food and his garden out back is a spectacle to be seen. Came all the way from Kingston and cannot wait to go back!
GastroPub type experience in a Century Home - very reminiscent of Jack's GastroPub in Kingsville - but a touch more upscale! We were pleasantly greeted upon arrival and seated on the front porch. The Combine is a great concept- cool cocktails - try the Rhubarb Mojito or The Big Smoke. After cocktails don't forget to order off their Norfolk-centric wine/beer list - try an Inasphere or a Burning Kiln wine or New Limburg craft beer. Their commitment to local doesn't end there- which us evident as you peruse the menu. We had Lake Erie Fish(Pickerel/Walleye) and chips, as well as, the Combine Burger a delectable smoky delight topped with an onion ring. They present a few house made condiments - ketchup, BBQ sauce and a little bottle of vinegar on the table - a nice touch! They have a wood fired oven - offering small individual pies for dessert - ummm raspberry.Overall the food is excellent, the service is very friendly, however, the kitchen was a little slow for peak Friday dining. If you're in Simcoe/Norfolk County this is a great place to experience the bounty of 'Ontario's Garden' .
I had read this was fine dining in many reviews. It's not. But it's pretty flavorful. Pizza was good and so was the salad. Service was excellent. Would return for sure if I was in Simcoe again.
