La Escondida - Silverthorne

I went in this afternoon to order lunch for the family and ordered 8 tacos de tripa, 6 de barbacoa, y 4 de asada. Very disappointed in the quality, taking into account it was $60. The meat was very dry, especially my carne asada. The cashierspecifically asked me if I wanted everything on them and I said yes. There was absolutely no cilantro and very little onion. Thegreen salsa was not that bad but the red/orange salsa was gross. Missing salt, peppers and spice (red is supposed to be spicy).We had to use some of our own ingredients from home to make the tacos decent. We were overcoming a family tragedy and did notwant to cook at home so we decided to order carry out and this place was a mistake. Coming from L.A/San Diego, we have goodMexican food and I would rate this spot a 2/10.

Came here on my visit to Colorado! Excited to find an authentic Mexican place. Portions were great and it really hit the spot!

Very weird place in sketchy area. Really loud Spanish karaoke and inappropriate music played during the entire dinner. We were the only dinner customers and the food was just ok.

Says they are open until 10pm but came at 7pm on a Friday and they were closed.

The food was SO good! Best Mexican food i've had in a while! The rice was perfect! I got carne asada tacos !
