Matchbox - Silver Spring

The service was excellent, and the ambiance inside and outside was wonderful. The food was also good. The only missed opportunity was the lack of espresso at brunch, as the drip coffee is not very good (based on previous experiences). The blueberries on the pancakes were a bit sparse, but the stirring was done very well.

The portions at this restaurant are quite large and incredibly tasty. Geo, our server, was very welcoming and provided excellent recommendations. I regret not having enough space to try something from the dessert menu.

I have always been a fan of Matchbox, but I had never been to the Silver Spring location before, so my partner and I decided to have a date night there. Surprisingly, it wasn't very crowded for a Saturday night (even though we had made reservations). I ordered the fire-smoked pizza which was delicious, and my partner enjoyed the seafood paella. Matchbox never fails to impress.

My mother and I were here on Sunday 12/12/21. Keith was our waiter (I think he's a new employee) Keith was great! Every time we come here, the service is good, but today it was great! Keith was attentive, efficient, funny and fast. He made suggestions and checked with us all night. I saw him with other girls and his energy was the same. Also Idk, who was the cook, but they must also be new. We ordered both the crispy half chicken with the Garbanzo beans (what we were nervous), but the chicken was so good and tender. Well seasoned and cooked for perfection.

First time visiting last night. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was relaxing even though there was quite a crowd. I had the Fire&Smoke pizza. I enjoyed it very much. The bartenders Geo and Marcus were very attentive and mixed some good drinks! Will definitely visit again!
