Villalpando - Silao

We were in Silao to catch an early flight to the USA and went to Villalpando for dinner. It is a place where locals for Cervezas Artesanales craft beers served in frosty cups good food and watching football on a large screen. It is not chic, but... the owner waiter is very nice and he will help you to eat something good and drink the carne asada with a salad of fresh vegetables and beer all at reasonable prices. This is not the best meal you will eat in Mexico or the best restaurant. It is a restaurant where the food was well prepared, tasted good and served by a very nice owner operator who wanted to enjoy your meal in his restaurant. We have enjoyed the experience and you will also be when you go there.

I've been coming to Guanajuato Silao for over 10 years and stay rarely in Silao because of the lack of restaurants. I ate here a few days ago and enjoyed it so much I ordered to go two more articles to have over the next two days. The chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent and the value is unbeatable. You have a wide selection of artisanal beers, a great atmosphere, a wonderful host and owner, and food so good I again many times.

The owner competition showed great patience and enthusiasm with us with our lack of knowledge Spanish. They offer many options of Mexican and imported beer. My friend wanted seafood and I wanted chicken and he recommended his favorites in every category. We were both very happy with his suggestions. I would definitely return if in the area.

Not bad for Silao, it could improve if the place was cleaner, service was more efficent. Costs are pretty good.

This place is a culinary hidden Gem. Are you around Silao? No forget stop here. Menu, staff, wine, cheese are excellent.
