The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

Found this place after a long day at RMNP. It's very conveniently located right outside the park and therefore I didn't expect much. I was beyond incredibly surprised! We arrived just as they were opening and there was already a line waiting to get in. The drinks were phenomenal! We ordered the trout and the bison meatballs and both were delicious. The service was very friendly and the musical guest was the perfect fit for the restaurant. I'll be dreaming of their mountain mule and fresh bread until I can come back!

Best place in Estes Park for delish dinner. In EP for 2 weeks and ate here 8x. We quickly became regulars. Parking: Restaurant opens at 4 pm. By 5 pm lot is full. Get there early.

We got the Buffalo Meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The meatballs were so tender and the gravy was delicious. You could tell the mashed potatoes were real. If haven’t given them a try highly recommend you do. Parking: Free parking but they get very busy.

Diana was a great server and even brought out a new entree when everything on my mom’s plate was over cooked. The trout was so over cooked it was sticky. It’s just too flat to cook the way we like it. The food was just not to our personal preference. We were seated quickly and again, Diana was great. If something on the menu inspires you, make sure to ask questions about how it will be served and make requests if needed—Diana was very accommodating!

Good food, great vibes and amazing scenery outside makes this an awesome restaurant.
