Lunch with band of bro,Fuzhou chow mein,instead of sweet and sour pork ribs we opts for sesame boneless pork,the signature “pok kei” or chicken blanched in hot oil then wok fried with oyster sauce,white wine and sesame seeds oil with winter bamboo shoots. Signature seow bee typical foochow,huge with minced pork and jicama or “mangkuang” The lunch was nostalgic,Sibu oldest Fuzhou restaurant,almost 70 years already, dishes we ordered, is typical authentic Foochow foods except the sesame seeds boneless pork,lunch for 3 persons Rm51, including a pot of chrysanthemums hot tea serves with ice. — at Hock Chu Lou 福聚楼
