The Beacon Shrewsbury - Shropshire

Woohoo what a fantastic place for a surprise Birthday lunch. My fabulous daughter arranged everything and The Team at The Beacon were superb, we had a large table for the adults and one for the children, the food was delicious, the staff were excellent and everyone enjoyed it. I had the scampi, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce and it was Superb! Then a Magnificent Biscoff Sundae, Wow what a birthday treat!! The team came out with my cake and a massive sparkler!! Whoever is in charge knows how to keep people happy and all the staff are an absolute credit to you. The food all arrived together, the atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming and we will definitely visit again. Thanks everyone Keep up the brilliant work !!!!! See you next time.

Generally this was a good experience although next time I will check there isn't a football match on as this took over rather. My young daughter did not have a good time though. Her original order was not delivered correctly (they brought chips instead of peas) and then when they corrected this she discovered a SNAIL in the peas which has put her off eating them again. I was surprised that the was little apology from the staff and no compensation despite the trauma it caused her.

We were a large party of 20 people for a family birthday. All 20 orders came out together and everyone's food was correct . Everyone was very happy with their order . All staff were extremely helpful and accommodating couldn't have asked for a better evening .

I want to say a special thank you to Lou and all the other girls behind the bar. I had a feminine emergency and they helped me out immediately and so discretely. They deserve a raise x

The four of us enjoyed our mains but my mac cheese starter was stodgy, bland and not as described on the menu. I couldn't manage more than a couple of forkfuls. Mentioned it to the waitress but was still charged.
